Introduction to Mr Jwalant S. Mehta

Dr. Mehta is a very renowned medical professional. Although he is an orthopedic surgeon, for more than 10 years he has been focusing on all kind of spinal surgery, especially spinal deformities, lower back pain, neck pain. His passion for the field drives him into intensive research and teaching with aspects regarding spinal surgery.

Mr Jwalant S Mehta is a consultant spinal based in Birmingham at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital and the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. He is also practicing with the BMI and Spire groups.

Dr. Mehta serves on a premium steering committee of international scoliosis organization, the Scoliosis Research Society. He is currently also serving on the CME and the Research Grant review committees, and is a programme reviewer for the IMAST and the annual meetings. Dr. Mehta has also been appointed as an honorary senior lecturer at the Aston University in Birmingham, as the head of the Spine module on the MCh (Orth) course.

He is very actively involved with teaching and research. Dr. Mehta is a Clinical and Educational supervisor in the Birmingham segment of the West Midlands Trauma and Orthopaedics training programme, and has published significantly in peer review journals and has authored various chapters in text-books. Dr. Mehta serves on quite a few editorial boards. He is also reviewer for European Spine Journal, Spine, Spine Deformity Journal, Global Spine Journal, and Bone & Joint Journal.

Mr Jwalant S. Mehta has done his graduation from the prestigious G.S. Medical College and the K.E.M. Hospital. He has completed his D (Orth) and MS (Orth) from the Mumbai University, India. He received the MCh (Orth) by the University of Liverpool. Although an orthopedic surgeon, he has dedicated his full time to spinal surgeon since 2009. Although Dr. Mehta has focused his practice on adult and children spinal deformities, he treats all the spinal conditions.
